Bible, The Word of God

Sometime back, I read an article about the gemstones used in the Book of Revelation, which was pretty educative.  Scientists have discovered that gems could be classified as anisotropic or isotropic in the past century.  Anisotropic means doubly refracting, and isotropic means it is single refracting.  But only recently have they discovered that cross-polarized light can be used to identify whether a gem is anisotropic or isotropic.  Anisotropic stones produce a colorful array when viewed in crossed polarized light, similar to pure light, reflecting all the colors of the rainbow.  In contrast, isotropic gems lose all of their colors and appear black!  It is interesting to note that gems mentioned in Revelation 21:19 are all anisotropic gems, that is, gems that can show colorful patterns like the rainbow under pure light!  Since the anisotropic behavior was discovered only in the last century, and John wrote the Book of Revelation almost 2,000 years ago, it proves that the Bible is the Word of God beyond doubt!  Only the Creator God knew of this!

Bible is full of prophesies.  The Bible teachers tell us that there are 735 separate events prophesied in the Bible.  Some events are mentioned 300 times, while some others are mentioned only once.  Of the 735 prophecies, what is yet to be fulfilled is concerning the second coming of Christ, which is yet to happen.  The probability of any event being fulfilled is one in seventy five million and 593 events; 81% have already been fulfilled!  This shows the Bible is the inspired Word of God.  One of the main reasons why the Bible is such a trustworthy source of truth is because its wisdom originates from God and not from man. The Bible is not just a book of stories or a history book.  It is a living document that teaches us how to live as Christians.  The Bible says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,  that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim 3:16, 17).

My friend, there is no doubt that the Bible is the Word of God.  It was written by many authors over centuries but inspired by the Holy Spirit, so God is the author.  Let us read, meditate and obey it so that we would be equipped for every good work as long as we live!
