His Time and His Timing!

Just-In-Time (JIT) is a philosophy that evolved after World War II in Japan. It is an inventory management concept which reduced the warehousing and inventory costs in manufacturing. It was first developed and applied in the Toyota manufacturing plants. Taiichi Ohno of Japan known as the father of the JIT concept. It aimed at eliminating waste of all kinds by producing and supplying only when needed and not earlier. Adopting JIT allowed the Toyota manufacturing plants to do away with inventory in the stores, thereby cutting out the corresponding costs. Thus, JIT as a strategy helped companies increase efficiency and minimize waste. The impact of JIT has impacted every area of manufacturing ever since!

It is incredible to see how our God operates Just-In-Time!

During the wilderness wandering, God provided manna just in time, every morning. Some Israelites became anxious and collected for two days, but it only got spoilt. God provided the Israelites water just in time! At the wedding at Cana, Jesus acted just in time. He did not wait for all the guests to leave the wedding house unsatisfied! His time may not coincide with our expectation, but His timing is always perfect. God not only created time, He also appoints the time for everything (Eccl 3:1-8). God has appointed a time for the end of times too! God not only appoints the time, but He also changes the times! When Daniel was taken to Babylon as a captive, his life changed, but when the king had a dream, his time changed! Haman sought to kill all the Jews because Mordecai had not bowed to him. Haman had made the gallows ready for Mordecai, but everything changed when King Ahasuerus read the book of the records that very night! God's timing is impeccable!

When answers to our prayers get delayed, we get anxious. Anxious thoughts never come alone. One thought leads to another, and they multiply within us, taking our focus away from God's promises!

My friend, you might have been praying for certain things for a long time. But do not lose heart. The Lord who provided manna at the right time, every day for forty years will answer your prayers at the right time for the Bible says, "He has made everything beautiful in its time…." (Eccl 3:11a). Trust His timing!
